Shipping Policies
Performance Product Technologies shipping option designated as “STANDARD GROUND” on items below 150 Lbs will be shipped using the carrier of PPT’s choice; UPS standard ground, Fed Ex Ground or USPS. If you want to request a specific carrier this must be designated in the “ORDER NOTE” field at the time the order is placed. Any additional shipping costs will be communicated to the customer before the order is processed. The shipping designation “EXPEDITED” on items below 150 Lbs will be shipped using 3 day service with the carrier of PPT’s choice; UPS, Fed Ex or USPS. NOTE: ORDERS COMMONLY REQUIRE SHIPPING TO PPT BEFORE SHIPPING BACK OUT TO THE CUSTOMER. IN THESE CASES THE EXPEDITED SHIPPING SERVICE ONLY APPLIES TO THE SHIPMENT FROM PPT TO THE CUSTOMER. MAKE SURE TO READ THE NOTES ON ALL PRODUCTS WHEN THEY ARE LOADED INTO THE SHOPPING CART REGARDING WHETHER THIS APPLIES. All orders are shipped without a signature required at delivery, unless the customer requests the delivery signature on the provided “ORDER NOTE” field when the order is placed. Perfprotech.com assumes no liability for lost or stolen packages that deliver to the address specified on the order when proof of delivery is provided. Therefore if your delivery address is in a location that this is a concern – MAKE SURE TO REQUEST A DELIVERY SIGNATURE TO BE REQUIRED WHEN YOUR ORDER IS DELIVERED.
NOTE: In certain cases order shipments will require additional shipping charges. Many times this happens when we have determined that certain products receive shipping damage more frequently if shipped with the standard service. In these cases the additional shipping charges may not be known at the time the order is placed rather once the shipping is being established. At this time PPT will communicate with the customer and give them the option to accept additional shipping charges and proceed with the order or cancel the order for a full refund. We understand the inconvenience this causes in certain situations and work hard to offer the lowest possible shipping option to alleviate this issue.
NOTE: In the case of serialized product orders such as ENGINES, LONGBLOCKS, and STERNDRIVE orders the customer will be emailed a Purchase Sales Agreement (PSA) within 24 hours upon completing the order. This PSA will need to be signed and returned before the order will be shipped. The purpose of the PSA is to ensure that the customer completing the order is in fact the customer that is eligible for any and all available warranty offered by the product manufacturer. Please be aware that without a signed PSA on file PPT will not be responsible to assist customers with any available warranty issues.
It is the customers sole responsibility to inspect and report any damage to the delivery driver immediately upon arrival. The person signing for the receipt of the shipment takes full responsibility as to the shipping condition of the product being delivered. Please be aware that this does not mean that the customer is responsible for accepting a damaged product being shipped, rather that the customer has observed and inspected the product being delivered and whether it is in good condition. Performance Product Technologies will not under any circumstances be responsible for damage incurred during transit.
The standard shipping charges displayed on the website when processing orders through the online store are based on shipping within the continental United States. Shipments on products in excess of 150 Lbs going to to Alaska and Hawaii may subject to additional shipping charges which must be completed and paid before product is shipped. Customer will be notified before the order ships in these cases.
International Orders for products in excess of 150 Lbs will incur additional shipping and/or handling charges. The customer will be informed of these associated costs before the order is shipped. Customers are responsible for all duties and related charges once the product has reached the customs entry point.
Oklahoma residents are charged an 8.75% sales tax. Residents of all other states are individually responsible for and recommended to remit their states applicable taxes as required. Residents of countries other than the United States are individually responsible for any brokerage fee’s, and/or V.A.T. for their respective country.
