I have a 1969/70 Formula 233 with an original OMC 210. The parts for the outdrive are becomming impossible to find. I would like to refit the boat with a Merc Alpha 2 setup, reusing the original chevy engine. A local marine mechanic says it can be done. But I would like your advice and recommendations for equipment parts list, selections, and pricing. I otherwords I would like to get a budget together before embarking upon this. The transom reconstruction and cutout for the mount will run me ~$3000. What's next?
