Thanks for your inquiry and the opportunity at earning your business. Our exhaust system uses a short fastener to attach the spacer to the manifold on the bottom side and then long fasteners to attach the riser to the spacer on the upper side. We found that the one single long fasteners is not as robust of a design because as it relaxes it opens the possibility of leakage at every sealing joint versus just the isolated upper or lower.
