Thanks for your inquiry and the opportunity at earning your business. The big block v8 engines utilize a 5” heat exchanger due to their specific heat load requirements. Most all of these closed cooling system are configured such that the heat exchanger itself fits inside the rectangular envelope of the engine. Therefore if you were to construct an envelope of the engine from the existing height and front of the engine, the cooling system (heat exchanger) will fit within this envelope.
