Bayliner with a 2004 Merc. 5.0L Marine Engine Dry Joint Exhaust System (SN#-0M686766)
David,
Thanks for your inquiry and the opportunity at earning your business. The exhaust system itself is pretty much interchangeable however the serial number you provided falls into the range of the taller exhaust elbow. Therefore he would most likely need to cut his intermediate elbow to make it fit. The reason being that if he installs standard pre-dry joint exhaust the elbow will be shorter and therefore most likely introduce an interference with the intermediate elbow that conencts at the rear. Using the link below you can add your selected product(s) to your shopping cart and the shipping estimator located at the bottom of the shopping cart page will give you a shipping cost based on your specific postal code. Let me know if you need any further technical information or help placing your order. In either case I will be glad to assist!

Hello, My buddy has a Bayliner with a 2004 Merc. 5.0 (SN#-0M686766). He is shopping for exhaust and needs to know if he can install a wet system in place of the existing dry joint system to save a few $$$. I have a 2000 Baja with a Gen VI 502, so I’m not much help to him based on personal experience since I’ve never dealt with a dry joint system. Thank you for your time and expertise, Dave C.
