1998 Sea Ray with 7.4 MPI with Bravo 1 drives Engine Replacement
Randy,
Thanks for your inquiry and the opportunity at earning your business. Things have changed significantly regarding the new engine emissions rules. Please check out the link below that will explain these changes for you. After reviewing this information just let me know which option makes the most sense for your particular situation. Most customers with 454’s are either replacing the complete longblock or in the case of a complete drop in they will in fact go with the 383. Let me know if you need any further technical information or help placing your order. In either case I will be glad to assist!

I have a 1998 Sea Ray with 7.4 MPI with Bravo 1 drives. The heads are rusting bad and have been told it is risky replacing and should re-power. Are the 383 engines what I would be looking at? What is your oppion regards to changing the heads out?
