1982 Mercruiser Small V8 Repower Project
Ramon,
Thanks for your inquiry and the opportunity at earning your business. Things have changed significantly regarding repowers due to the most recent EPA rulings. There are several very good remanufactured versus new power options for you to consider. The only way to get a new “complete drop-in” engine today is to go with a catalyst equipped engine. I’m going to give you a couple of links to review, and then I will follow up. Let me know if you need any further technical information or help placing your order. In either case I will be glad to assist!

Hi, I would like to receive a quotation for a drop-in replacement for my 1982 Mercruiser 260, with fresh cooling water system, EFI alternator and starter motor, excluding exhaust manifolds. My current 260 has seized up and the insurance may cover for engine replacement. Kindly quote for both rebuild as well as new engine. Kind Regards, Ramon
