Direct replacement for MerCruiser Aluminum block 4 Cyl 224 CID Sterndrive Models 470, 488, 165/3.7L,170, 180/3.7LX, 185, 190. 4 inch tank diameter, 27 inches overall length. See detail diagram for dimensions. Note: When converting from the original 3" unit to the 4", the raw water inlet fitting changes from 5/8" to 3/4" outside diameter, to help reduce the inlet water restriction.
