This high performance fresh water cooling system offers a large capacity, 4-1/8" x 32" high flow heat exchanger for cooling moderate performance engines up to 700HP. With increased demands of the performance engine, these systems circulate glycol throughout the engine therefore allowing maximum coolant flow by not forcing the restriction of the exhaust system on the engine circulating pump. Unlike many existing cooling systems, this system incorporates a dual-action thermostat and allows a balanced series of full coolant flow through the engine even when the thermostat is in the closed position; virtually eliminating stagnant flow in the engine prior to thermostat temperature being achieved. Strategic air purge points allow the system to be easily filled without requiring multiple engine restarts to purge excess air from the system. Along with this feature positioning of the heat exchanger is not a problem as it is with many conventional systems as the system continuously purges a small amount of air from a strategically located position within the circuit. These systems are intended to be remote mounted across the stringers directly in front of the engine, which allows for a clean well packaged system that is not as cumbersome as conventional systems hanging from the engine with hoses running in all directions. This kit comes with all major components req''d to convert to a FWC system. It does not include any hoses or heat exchanger mounting brackets. Kit comes complete with detailed installation instructions.
