Methods of Payment
For orders up to $2,500 credit card transactions are standard and can be run through the online store without any special instructions. Credit card and Paypal orders greater than $2,500 require a 3% security verification charge and are considered only on a case by case basis. Payment for orders in excess of $2,500 can alternatively be completed by either direct wire transfer or cashier's check.
How to place an online order
Step 1: Add selected products to your shopping cart
Step 2: Select update shopping cart and verify that your cart is correct.
Step 3: Select check out
Step 4: Create a user account by entering your email address and a user defined password
Step 5: Select your state
Step 6: Enter your customer information, name, address, etc.
Step 7: Select payment option, either credit card or offline.
If the online credit card payment option is selected you will then be promted to enter your credit card information via an encrypted secured socket layer connection. This SSL reduces the risk of credit card fraud by securing and protecting your connection to our system. At this point select the "submit button" when prompted at which point your order will be submitted for processing. You will then be contacted within one business day to confirm shipping.
Performance Product Technologies utilizes the latest completely secure online ordering encryption technology. Although many people don't realize the technology behind placing an online order, it is actually one of the safest methods of ordering available. Why? Secure ordering technology uses a seperate server which encrypts the credit card information entered while placing the order. This means that not even the merchant has the option of viewing the customers credit card information. Versus when you place a credit card order in person, the merchant could actually make a copy of the credit card receipt and have full access to your personal information, and credit card account.
If you have not ordered with PPT before, you should click on Create New User Profile.
Fill out the required information while writing down the Login name and Password that you selected during this process. Save this user name and password to use for future purchases. If you cannot remember your password, send an email to sales@perfprotech.com and we will e-mail your password and profile information to you.
If you have already established a user profile, just type in your Login name and Password. A screen will appear which will list your billing address and shipping address. Please verify your personal account information for accuracy and changes.
PLEASE NOTE: Customers that call in orders and have a sales person process them on their behalf agree to our company policies and procedures as defined in the Legal Policies section of this website. When processing all orders, the "I Agree To" checkbox must be selected before an order can be placed, and it is understood that the customer is authorizing the sales person to do this on their behalf. The only exception to this is if a credit card is fraudulantly charged and a customer did not authorize the order all together. In this case the customer must notify Performance Product Technologies within 30 days that an unauthorized order has been placed using their credit card.
PLEASE NOTE: For credit card safety verification purposes, the supplied shipping address must match the cardholders billing address. This is required by the credit card companies in an effort to help reduce the risk of credit card fraud. If you choose to have products shipped to a 3rd party location (different than the billing address), email us the shipping address.
PLEASE NOTE: Upon completing any engine order on the website you will be sent a Purchase Sales Agreement which must be completed and returned before the engine will be shipped. This document contains important warranty information and protects both the seller and buyer for the purposes of the sale.
PLEASE NOTE: All orders for less than $25 can be processed on this website, but will incur a minimum order charge to increase the order total to $25 to cover the same minimum order shipping/handling charge we receive from the distributors for the products on these samll orders. In these case's it's better to order an additional part (maintenance item or something) to increase the total above the minimum amount. We apologize for this inconvenience.
